The Nob Hill neighborhoods include the 6 residential additions surrounding the Nob Hill Shopping Center at Central and Carlisle in Albuquerque.  Dating to 1916, these residential neighborhoods are among the area’s most visible and positive assets.

Between 1916 and 1926 developers platted four of the six additions in Nob Hill. Demand for homes was brisk. Mesa Grande was added in 1931 and most of the homes in these additions were built prior to WW II. Housing was typically constructed by small contractors who purchased lots and built houses on contract or speculation.  (Residence of Wm. J.
